Who we are

ForexBob (forexbob.com) is operated by Sukhwinder Singh, a sole proprietor based in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Sukhwinder Singh is our privacy contact, and you can reach us at support@forexbob.com.

We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we also describe your rights under the GDPR below.

What we collect

• Information you give us: your name, email address, Telegram username and the content of your messages when you contact us or ask for a quote.
• Project details: for custom EA development, the strategy rules, charts and files you send us. We treat these as confidential.
• Purchase and licence details: the product you buy, payment dates, the transaction reference from the payment provider, and the trading account number your EA licence is issued for. We don't receive or store your full card or bank details; the payment provider handles them.
• Usage information: pages visited, links clicked, approximate location (country or city, from your IP address), device and browser type, and the website that referred you. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies, described below.
• Server logs: our hosting provider records IP addresses and requests to keep the site secure and working.

We never ask for your trading account passwords. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. Our services are for adults only.

How we use it

• To answer your questions, prepare quotes and build the EAs you order.
• To issue and manage EA licences.
• To process payments, keep records and meet our tax and legal obligations.
• To understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.
• To measure and improve our advertising, if we run ads.
• To keep the site and our users secure, and to prevent fraud and misuse.

We only collect what we need for these purposes. We use your information for a new purpose only with your consent, unless the law allows or requires it.

Cookies, Google Analytics and Google Ads

Our website uses only the cookies it needs to work. We may also use the following services. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before setting any analytics or advertising cookies, and you can change your choice at any time.

• Google Analytics 4: helps us understand how visitors use the site, for example which pages are read most. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects usage information, including a shortened form of your IP address. We don't use it to identify you personally.
• Google Ads: if we advertise with Google, we may use conversion tracking to see whether an ad led to a visit or enquiry, and remarketing to show our ads to people who have visited our site, on Google and partner websites.

Google's use of this information is governed by Google's own privacy policy. You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can:

• turn off personalised ads in Google's My Ad Center,
• install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on,
• block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run ForexBob, and only what they need:

• Telegram, if you choose to contact us there. Telegram's own privacy policy applies to your Telegram account.
• Payment providers, which process your payment.
• Hosting, email and content management providers, which store our website, licence records and messages.
• Google, for analytics and advertising as described above.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or users, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business, in which case the buyer must protect it in line with this policy.

Where your information is stored

Some of our service providers store data outside Canada, including in the United States and the European Union. Information stored abroad is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessed by its courts or authorities. We choose providers that protect information to a standard comparable to this policy.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. Purchase and payment records are kept for at least six years, as required by Canadian tax law. Licence records are kept while the licence is active. Project files for custom EAs are kept while we support the EA and deleted when you ask. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months.

How we protect it

We use reasonable safeguards for the sensitivity of the information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, access controls and limiting who can see your details. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify you and the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as the law requires.

Your rights and choices

You can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy,
• correct information that is wrong or incomplete,
• delete your information, unless we have to keep it by law,
• stop using your information for marketing or analytics. You can withdraw consent at any time, though this may mean we can no longer provide a service.

Email support@forexbob.com. We will reply within 30 days and may need to confirm your identity first.

EEA and UK visitors: we rely on your consent (analytics and advertising cookies), on the need to perform our agreement with you (EA licences and custom development) and on our legitimate interests (security and answering enquiries). You also have the right to restrict or object to processing and to data portability, and you can complain to your local data protection authority.

If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, for example when we add a new service or payment method. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will tell customers by email.
